We’re buzzing to launch a brand-new ropes competition at Redpoint Bristol!

We’ll be setting 12 fresh routes, each split into 25 scoring zones — and the higher the route grade, the more each zone is worth.

• Route 1: 1 point per zone

• Route 12: 12 points per zone

Youth climbers will compete on top rope only, meaning they won’t attempt every route — but there’s still plenty to go at!

You’ll have time to try a handful of routes, but only your top two scores count towards qualification.
That means it’s all about choosing wisely and climbing smart — fall early on one, and you’ve still got more chances to boost your total.

Morning Session – Youth & Juniors

• Youth (7–11) and Junior (12–15) categories

• Each participant/group must bring at least one competent adult belayer

• Qualifiers lead into a big Junior Finals and podiums for both Juniors and Youths

Afternoon Session – Open, Veterans & Para

• Open (14+) qualifiers

• Veterans (45+) and Para categories with their own podiums

• The top Open climbers will advance to a spectacular finals round to crown Bristol’s Climbing Champion
