Fun and games-based skills development for agility and awareness in climbing.
Our Little Monkeys lessons work through the Wild Climbers syllabus to introduce younger climbers safely into the indoor climbing environment, develop their awareness of climbing movements, improve confidence and create a pathway into additional climbing activities.
Goals:
• Wild Climbers NICAS Syllabus
Completion:
• Age 7 years old
Next Club:
• Rock Monkeys (7-10)
It’s a fun, game-filled, skill-based experience which provides the core skills required for climbing and bouldering. Using a logbook, the Little Monkeys will be working through 3 levels in 6 different key skill areas (agility, balance, coordination, teamwork, focus and communication), earning stickers and certificates to track their progress.
Using games and challenges on and off the climbing wall, we aim for the participants to learn these skills in a simple environment, often staying on the ground. Once the skill has been learned we progress to bouldering and roped climbing to practice and develop the skills.
All our coaches are experienced and take the safety of your child as their priority while providing a fun and friendly experience. Climbing comes so naturally to kids, we just love seeing them in their element having fun and climbing the walls.
Wild Climbers has a logbook where the kids, with the help of the instructors, can log their progress though the levels of climbing skills. With stickers to keep track of progress and some bonus stickers just for fun! The logbook is available from our reception.
Wild Climbers Logbook – £15

We appreciate that everybody is individual and has different needs and requirements. To participate fully in a rock monkeys or little monkeys sessions you child needs to:
Climbing is an incredibly inclusive sport when managed effectively, however our Kids Clubs sessions may not be suitable for all climbers. If you think your child would struggle to participate fully, please get in contact to discuss individual requirements.
If your child’s behaviour is consistently unsafe for themselves and others, we will work with you and your child, attempting to find a resolution. We reserve the right to cancel their club membership and suggest alternative sessions.
Please note the monthly price remains the same regardless of the number of sessions in each month. The number of sessions follows school term times and some months will have sessions weekly and others will not. Clubs run on all term-time bank holidays except New Year’s Day. – a list of national bank holidays can be found here.
Participants aged 4-12 must be accompanied by an adult to check-in each visit and must stay in the building throughout the session.
Participants aged 13-17 may check in without an adult as long as the online waiver has been completed before the first session.
Spectators who have signed in at reception are welcome to observe from designated viewing platforms, although these areas may not provide a complete view of the entire session. For safety and practical reasons, spectators are not able to enter the climbing areas. However, if you have a specific requirement, please consult with a Duty Manager.
The final decision rests with the Duty Manager and entry to the centre and viewing areas is at their discretion.
Billing
Your monthly payment reserves your child’s space on their club. We run billing on the 1st of the month or shortly after. You will be billed in full for your child’s club each month, regardless of how many sessions there are in the month. This means that some months you will be able to attend a session every week, however club sessions do not run outside of term times – see our term timetable tab for our term dates. Please note that weekend clubs average 1 session per term less than some other clubs, but are charged at the same price due to their popularity. You child is welcome to start at any point during the month, but it will be billed in full – so it may be prudent to wait a week until the next month for the best value!
Cancellations
If you wish to leave the clubs you must let us know your leaving date no later than 2 weeks before you wish to leave. Your child is welcome to stay until the very end of their last month. You will not receive a partial refund if you stop attending part way through a month, or if there are weeks without sessions. It might be good to see which month is the best to finish on to make the most of your monthly bill.
You can cancel from the Cancellation page online.
Injuries, Holidays & Missed Sessions
Unfortunately, we are unable to freeze or refund payments if your child is unable to attend their club due to being injured, sick, going on holiday or being absent. Your monthly payment reserves your child’s space in their club. We will not provide partial refunds for weeks where climbing is missed due to injury, personal or national holidays or any other reason.
