Job Title: Cafe Crew
Location: Redpoint Climbing Centre, BS3 2NW
Hours: Weekends, 3 out of 4 weekends per month (Fixed term until April 2027) and 2 x permenant roles, alternating weekends.
Pay: £12.71 per hour + accrued Holiday; increasing to £12.85 per hour after successful completion of probation period (3 months).
Start Date: October 2026
Job Summary
We are excited to invite 2 permenant and 1 fixed term Cafe Crew to our team here at Redpoint Climbing Centre.
Our Cafe is the heart of the community at Redpoint Climbing Centre, and we always try to go the extra mile to improve our customers’ experience and make lasting relationships through great customer service and fun events including boulder comps and board game nights. We welcome people from all backgrounds – you don’t have to be a climber yourself, just passionate about great food, drink and people!

Responsibilities and Duties
Crew members are trained to work in both our kitchen and bar. Your duties will include:
- Providing friendly service while taking orders and processing payments.
- Running of pizza service in line with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Producing pizzas for birthday parties, and setting up/cleaning down party rooms.
- Maintain daily records (eg. Open & Close Checks, Temperature Checks & Daily Diary.)
- Serving hot and cold drinks, including barista style coffee, locally sourced keg ales, and smoothies.
- To ensure the cafe, customer area, kitchen, back areas, cellar and store cupboards are clean, tidy and in working order.
- Maintain a good knowledge of all the cafe’s products and services, and sign-post customers who wish to know more about climbing or our other facilities.
- Performing daily, weekly, monthly and annual cleaning tasks.
Essential characteristics & qualities
- Must be over 18, as you will serve alcohol.
- Experience working in a cafe environment.
- A friendly, professional attitude.
- A high standard of personal hygiene with a neat and tidy appearance
- Able to use a computer/phone app to keep track of any updates or correspondence.
- Responsible, reliable, hard-working and well-organised.
- Good at multitasking and have a great attention to detail.
Desired skills and knowledge – training can be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines
- Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification
- Allergen Awareness qualification
- Barista experience
