In teams of two, you’ll have 8 hours to climb as much as you can! A grade multiplier weighs harder climbs with more points – but there will be prizes for the most points and the most climbs, so pick your tactic – either way don’t have to climb 8a to win, you just have to climb a lot!
This year, we’re proud to support Climbers Against Cancer – £5 from every booking will go directly to them.
Routes must be climbed cleanly, without weighting the rope
Onsight / Flash / Redpoint are scored the same. A clean ascent is what counts
No auto belays or boulder traverses this year, so bring a good belay buddy!
One scorecard per team (submitted via Google Form, paper copies available for tallying – we’ll make bigger ones than last year, as some of your tallies were incredible!)
All climbers must be registered to rope climb with us.
Safe belaying and lowering at all times!
This is an open competition – age and gender don’t matter. Grab a partner and get climbing!
Thanks to our friends at Dick’s Climbing and Taunton Leisure, there’ll be ropes, chalk, headtorches and more up for grabs. Prizes for:
Highest-scoring team overall (1st, 2nd & 3rd)
Best-dressed team
A few random other gifts and goodies!
Energy and refreshment will be on hand courtesy of Tenzing (please note: no alcohol while climbing).
