We’re buzzing to launch a brand-new ropes competition at Redpoint Bristol!
We’ll be setting 12 fresh routes, each split into 20 scoring zones – the higher the route grade, the more each zone is worth.
We’ll have some routes that are top-rope only, and the rest will be lead climbing. If you can lead climb, then you can climb all the routes; if you can only top-rope, you won’t have as many routes available – but there’s still plenty to go at!
You’ll have time to try a handful of routes, but only your top two scores count towards qualification.
Routes – 12 brand-new climbs, each with 20 scoring zones.
Points – Route maps show the points for each hold/zone.
Scoring – Record all tops or high points (no need to top!).
Attempts – Onsight only: one go per route.
Qualification – Your top 2 scores count.
Partners – Record your own scores – it’s not a team event.
Youth (7–11) and Junior (12–15) categories
Each participant/group must bring at least one competent adult belayer ⚠️
Qualifiers lead into a big Youth and Junior Finals!
