NICAS Clip is a fantastic brand-new climbing scheme that launched in Autumn 2022. It focuses on the safe use of auto belays within our Crazy Climb arena, providing fun experiences through the gamification of sport and movement skills that underpin climbing techniques. The session is perfect for school groups who want progression but find the main climbing walls a little intimidating.

Ratio: 1:8 (1:4 for groups who require additional support)

Ages: 6-17 years old

Duration: 1 hour (with a minimum of 6 sessions)

If you want to get your group onto the main climbing walls, we can provide a taster experience in our main climbing area with one of our experienced coaches. Over an hour, we will teach the participants some key climbing techniques and skills to help them enjoy the experience and hopefully spark a life-long enjoyment of climbing!

Ratio: 1:6 (1:4 for groups who require additional support)

Ages: 7-17 years old

Duration: 1 hour

The NICAS climbing scheme can be used to complement the GCSE curriculum for Edexcel, OCR and AQA. Over a minimum of 5 sessions our qualified instructors will teach NICAS level 1 & 2, after which pupils should be well prepared for their GCSE. If additional teaching time is required this can be organised on request. It doesn’t matter if your group isn’t working towards their GCSEs, this package will take participants through all the skills needed to be a competent rope climber.

Ratio: 1:6 (1:4 for groups who require additional support)

Ages: 7-17 years old (14-16 suggested for GCSEs)

Duration: 1.5 hours (with a minimum of 5 sessions)

We are proud to have been awarded the Quality Badge by Council for Learning Outside the Classroom.

The LOtC Quality Badge is the only national accreditation that recognises both learning and safety for all types of learning outside the classroom providers and is endorsed by the Department of Education.

Using a LOtC Quality Badge reduces a school’s paperwork and makes taking their students off-site easier.
